Jemez Mountain Trail Run – 2012 50 Mile Course Flyover

The Jemez Mountain Trail Run in Los Alamos, New Mexico is coming soon…oh so soon!

The wild fires from last summer caused some significant damage in the area that required course changes for the 50 mile and 50 km scamper.

I would hate to guess on the number of hours spent putting together a new course of this magnitude but we have a course. They are ready!

I will be putting together a flyover for each new course to help set the mood of what is to come.

The 50 mile course contains nearly 10,000 feet of gain with a stride not below 7000 feet.

Flatlanders, I hope you have been sucking through a straw for the last couple months during your long runs. 🙂

Enjoy the flyover! (~2 min)

(If you can’t see the flyover, click here.)

If you have an interest in this epic day in New Mexico, there are still entries available for the 50 mile and 50 km adventure.
