Liza Howard on Coaching – Trail Runner Nation Podcast

[I had originally shared this Liza Howard podcast on Facebook a while back...but since everyone isn't on Facebook (yep, it's true) I decided non-FBer's may be interested and put it on the site. Enjoy!]
Shortly after her second place finish at the 100 km USATF Trail Championship down in Bandera (results summary), Texan Liza Howard shared some great insight on the benefits of having a coach, things to consider when selecting a coach, why she became a Jedi trail master (or coach), and other coaching related insights.

This Texas-sized bundle of helpful and interesting information is all packed within a sweet little podcast at Trail Runner Nation.
I really dug Liza’s response to the “How long would it take to train up to a 50km?” question. It definitely shows a holistic approach to her coaching.

Thanks for the write-up and TRN shout-out Dave. Liza has been a great coach and mentor as I have been getting into more ultras.
Brother Tim – Thanks for visiting EB and sharing! Have a great run at PP10! I also saw Cactus 100 on the schedule.
When you get a bit more info on your SA trail running guide, let me know and I will add it to my TALON trail finder resources (http://endurancebuzz.com/2010/06/20/show-me-the-trails-resources-to-get-your-talon-trail-run-fix/).
