“So you have to get used to your circumstances, complain about them as little as possible, and grasp whatever advantage they have to offer: no condition is so bitter that a stable mind cannot find some consolation in it.” – Lucius Seneca
We all have a choice in a trail running race (and in life) on where to spend our finite mental resources:
- on concerns/issues we can’t control
- on concerns/issues we can directly be engaged in and help direct and influence
One choice is a sneaky, near vertical climb that can greatly reduce or halt any forward progress.
The other is a panoramic landscape of involvement, possibilities, and dare I say…fun!
Where would you like to be?
Let’s get some epic dirt time on the Trail of Influence! That’s my vote. 😉
How have your race experiences been affected by the musings between your ears?
