Skinnydipper Sun Run – 2011 Results

“Nudist Philosophy: Being nude is natural.”

Apparently running fast without the layers is as well!

Taking minimalistic running to the next level, the 14th Annual Skinnydipper 5 km Sun Run completed over the weekend on the non-paved terrain at the Wildwood Naturist’s Resort in Decatur, Texas.

What makes this race unique? You can leave your running gear at home because clothing is optional. No more sweaty shirts, shorts, or chaffing to worry about it. Simply run.

Over 150 runners participated in the 5 km unclad scamper.

This off-road adventure has a little mix of everything – logs, ravines, gravel roads, and various forested and meadow switchbacks.

Here are a couple images of the trail.

The top three male runners were all within 43 seconds of each other and finished with speedy 19 and sub-19 times. Isaac Q sped off sub-6 minute miles to win the male race in 18:22. Twenty five seconds later, Jonathan W earned second in 18:47.
