More Pics From The Running Event

There was more than just a sweet collection of running shoes at the The Running Event, so I thought I would provide a buffet table of pics for the other running goodies that caught my attention.

You will see products in the following categories:

  • Clothing
  • Recovery
  • Gear
  • Bling
  • Animal fun

Note some products are available now or will become available in 2011.

Clothing

In days past, man or woman, we all looked somewhat the same once we tossed on some basic vanilla running attire and laced up the shoes. Those days as fast disappearing…at least for the ladies. From running skirts to unique styling, this space in running continues to expand.

running skirts – www.runningskirts.com

(sorry for the blurry pics)

Sturdy Girl Sports – www.sturdygirlsports.com

A new company with product available Spring/Fall 2011 for those needing a bit of extra support. You won’t see much on the site until product is available for purchase.

rungirlrun – www.rungirlrun.ca

thriv – www.thrivnp.com

thriv is a Louisiana based company that creates running and fitness clothing for both men and women using a unique combination of Organic cotton and Bamboo.

(This one got blurry on me again…sorry)

I did receive  a product sample (shirt) and will share my thoughts on it in the coming weeks.

Recovery

Here are a few recovery tools I haven’t seen before.

Tiger Tail Massager – www.tigertailusa.com

Simple, stiff, handheld massager.

I plan to provide a complete review of the Tiger Tail in the upcoming weeks.

RumbleRoller – www.rumbleroller.com

Interesting twist to the foam roller. The roller contains a large array of firm, yet flexible “bumps”.

110 Play Harder – www.110playharder.com

Compression and icing combined.

My calf chillin'.

Gear

Petzl’s Rechargeable Lithium Battery Core – www.petzl.com

Reduces battery consumption and provides customizable headlamp performance through a free software application. Great explanation and headlamp compatibility listing.

Core battery within a Tikka XP2

GoMotion – www.gomotiongear.com/blog/

Alternative lighting option. Attachable lighting placed on the chest or waist.

Available in both 1 Watt (45 lumens) and 3 Watt (68 lumens).

I will be providing a complete review of the 3 Watt system in the upcoming weeks.

CamelBak – www.camelbak.com

A new Spring-Summer trail running pack called the Octane LR, stores the fluid around the waist using a 70 ounce Lumbar Reservoir hydration system. I will also provide a complete review of this pack in the upcoming weeks.

Bling

tarma – www.tarmadesigns.com

Earth friendly Jewelry. Here are a couple running related pieces.

Animal Fun

OllyDog – www.ollydog.com

I have the 110% calf sleeves and like them a lot. I haven’t tried the cooler bag yet but can update later this month after taking them with me on a couple runs in Huntsville. I have used the icepacks right out of the freezer and works great too – I hate ice baths but they help and this is even better.
    Cheers,
