Over 60 trail runners excitedly participated in the brisk weathered Slaughter Pen trail run located in Bentonville, Arkansas. This is the fifth race in the six race series put on by LIART Sports. In consistent fashion, this event was another leg screamer with a 8.7 mile (long course) and 3.2 mile trail option.

A special thanks to LIART Sports for the collection of pics.
Course
This speedy trail race takes place at the Slaughter Pen Bike Park (now you know the reason for the race name) within the city.
The foresty and rocky course appeared to be made up of a small counter-clockwise loop (all runners) followed by a larger counter-clockwise loop (for the long course runners).
