New Balance WT101 Women’s Trail Shoe – Ready For the Dirt

Three weeks ago, the men’s New Balance MT101 trail shoe became available. The women’s models were still in hiding.

Well wait no longer. The estrogenic version of the less-shoe New Balance MT101 has just become available at Running Warehouse.

How much less shoe? The women’s size 7 weighs in at a feathery 6.5 oz. This neutral shoe includes a rock guard in the sole to provide some protection (similar to last year’s MT100), but don’t expect a lot of cushioning with this trail shoe.

Glamour Shots

Here are a couple cutesy pics of the colors currently available. Don’t you just want to toss a bit of dirt on them?!?

New Balance WT101 - Purple

Honestly, I wish the men’s version had a bit more color splash to them like these models.

Shoe Overview

Running Warehouse put together a sweet little summary of the shoe.

I’ve heard great things about these shoes from my male counterparts and will probably try them out (thx for coupon!) but why, oh, why do the shoe companies have to make all women’s gear PINK?! Purple is not much better when it’s that light purple. Not all of us are girly-girls and some of us don’t like pink at all. How about yellow or green, folks? OK, off my soapbox now!

Funny you want the green. I have green I just keep wishing the purple one came in a size 12.5 so I could get my men’s size 11 foot in one.

txskatemom – Sorry can’t help with the coloring…Get them good and dirty and they will all look the same anyways. 😉

I personally would enjoy a bit more color splash…you should see my bright red INOV8s…BAM! 🙂

Erik – No half sizes about 12, right? Sometimes life just isn’t fair! 🙂
