“Kids, don’t try this at home.” – Drew Meyer after completing the Grand Slam of Ultrarunning.
Fellow TALON and flatlander, Drew Meyer, completed the epically challenging Grand Slam of Ultrarunning about 1.5 weeks ago at the Wasatch 100. Holy huge!
Drew was extremely kind and granted me an opportunity to ask a few questions about his journey – audio style. It was a true pleasure.
My interview/audio attempt is definitely a growth opportunity for me. It is plenty rough around the edges. On the other hand, Drew was calm, cool, and collected, similar to every encounter I have had with him.
I hope you enjoy it.

Memories Along the Journey
Drew also provided a collection of pics and a short video clip from his grand slam adventure. Notice the amazing support. Totally cool!
Here is a video highlighting the spectacular views and Drew’s even more inspiring finish.

There are many take-aways from Drew’s accomplishment but the biggest for me is not that he completed the Grand Slam but that he was willing to try, take a chance, and begin what would seem a nearly impossible journey.
That is hugely inspiring to me and I hope it is for you as well because it is applicable to our entire life, not simply running adventures. Once again, sport and life are one.
Life is play. Play is life.
