2010 Western States 100 – TALON Athletes Heading West

In a little over two weeks, over 20 trail runners will be heading to the prestigious and historic 100 mile trail run in California called the Western States 100 (2009 race summary).

(View on the Western States 100 trail. Mile 79.)
There are over 20 athletes from the TALON (TX, AR, LA, OK, NM) region heading to test their mind, body, and spirit across the rugged and scenic Western States trail starting from Squaw Valley and finishing on the track in Auburn, California.
Who are the athletes representing our region at the big dance?
After plenty of searching in caves, on the biggest hills in the region, and a bit of kindness and cyber-luck, I have been able to get in contact with a fair number of these athletes. Even cooler, they have been kind enough to answer a few questions.
Over the next couple weeks, I will share these profiles with you so that we can get to know a little bit about our fellow WS-bound ultrarunners.
[update - Here are the short profiles of our Western States athletes as I publish them.]
