Running America – Special Texas Screening June 3rd

Run from San Francisco to New York City and try to do it in 47 days (70 miles per day).
The film, Running America, attempts to capture this 2008 extreme ultrarunning journey attempted by Charlie Engle and Marshall Ulrich.
Running America is your window into the run — as it’s happening. It’s been said that at this particular time in history this run is a metaphor for finding the heart and soul of America — and reflects a wish to bring the country together from coast to coast. Others think it’s simply an amazing challenge and a feat of sheer determination and willpower.
A quote I like from the trailer – “If I do (run) 40 miles a day, does that constitute as rest?”
On Thursday June 3rd 7:00 pm, there will be a special screening of the film Running America at the Alamo Drafthouse West in Houston, Texas. As a huge bonus, ultrarunner Marshall Ulrich will be in attendance and will do a Q&A session following the film. It is also mentioned that everyone will get a swag bag. Good stuff!
