Destination Ultramarathon: Jungle Marathon 2009 Stage 2

To continue our destination ultramarathon weekend kick-off series, we move onto stage two of the 2009 Jungle Marathon that guides ultra athletes within the intense jungles of Brazil. If you missed the event description and first couple videos of this event, you can check out Jungle Marathon Stage 1.

Stage 2

Stage two guides athletes 23.04 km from Dona Irene to Paraiso, where athletes enjoyed two swamp crossing (up to 1 km in length) but thankfully included some flatter terrain. It is going to be a wet feet day!

I am continually inspired to see the wide age range of athletes. With a bit of care and maybe some luck (never hurts), you can play in nature throughout this life experience. Happy playing!

Military BDU’s seem more appropriate here than spandex!
