Rocky Raccoon 100 Trail Run Loop Flyover

With multiple inches of snow falling in north Texas, the Rocky Raccoon 100 and 50 mile trail run seems like it took place months ago.
To help bring back some memories of the day, I created a video flyover with the help of my good friend Superman, to highlight the 20 mile loop that 100 mile athletes get to journey around five times to complete the adventure.
The 50 mile runners cover the same course except shortly after the mile 7 marker, you branch off and take a right that will angle back towards the dam to just after the mile 11 marker. This cut-across eliminates a portion of the course because each loop is 16.67 miles (instead of 20). Got it?

This really is a great place to run! No big or even moderate climbs but oh what fun.
If you haven’t seen it, Superman also created a cool video for the Bandera 100 km course.
Happy healing all you Rocky athletes.
