I say this without having experienced a DNF...yet. I am sure it would still create some type of emotional internal dialogue for me. I also agree on the significance of the "journey" which contains everything in the lead-up to the race and whatever the race day brings. Getting to the start line healthy is HUGE in the ultra world. You are ready! Now I need to go work on my communication skills. :) Lost in translation… :)

If I don't finish there is always another race. The biggest achievement has been made for me, I am making it to the starting line healthy and will run with my fellow ultra runners. It will be a fun adventure and I look forward to sharing it with you and everyone else on the trail. Lets get this party started.
