Last weekend the Run Like the Wind 5km and 3/6/12/24 hour events in southwest Austin benefiting the Schrodi Training Fund which helps owners who can’t afford the cost of training to be able to train and keep their dog.
The run route was a 1 km mostly flat trail loop with good footing.
A unique feature of this event is that the 5km events allowed athletes to run with their dog. Also, after the 5 km events were complete, the timed-events had a lunch time start at 11 am.
