Boku Superfood – Organic Food Based Multivitamin

boku-superfoodTrail runners and ultramarathoners demand a lot from their body and mind. Help your body reap the benefits of this work by supporting your body with high quality foods and nutritional supplementation.

The first line of nutritional support is definitely the food you eat. We are talking about quality fruits, vegetables, protein, and healthy fats (avocados, nuts, seeds, olive oil). Purchasing local or organic will often have more nutritional bang. Try and limit eating the 12 most contaminated fruits and vegetables if they are not organic or from a source you can verify the growing process.

The second line of support is nutritional supplementation such as a food-based multivitamin that can further support biological processes and possibly fill a biological need that may be lacking in your daily food intake.

Boku Superfood is a great product that provides a spectrum of vitamins and minerals from the most powerful plants currently known in the world. This is a food-based product so your body will recognize it and know how to process it. No synthetic, factory made nutrients included in this product. As hard as we try, nature is still a lot smarter than we are.

The Company Behind The Product

Boku International was co-founded in 2007 by President/CEO  Lynn Rolle (How it got started.). The company’s mission statement and core values provide a pretty good picture of what this company stands for.

Mission statement:

“To positively impact the highest number of people possible, with the healing power of natural, organic nutrition.”

Core Values:

Love for our customers and co-workers
Life lived long and to its fullest everyday
Passion to be a strong nutritional advocate and educator
Integrity and Character in every business endeavor
Value provided to our customers in product quality and service
Courage that stands firm under pressure
Trust, Truth & Honesty within our BõKU™ team
Earth-friendly at all times

I think the rest of corporate America could benefit from borrowing some of these values.

My Experience

My family and I have been using the product for over a year now. My 2.5 year old son will also drink it.

I typically put a scoop in my morning smoothie or will drink it with plain water mid-morning or mid-afternoon using a spoon to blend. The taste with water is a mild greens-chocolate (organic cacao) taste. There may be a few floaters when mixed with plain water but overall it is a pretty smooth drink.

Has it turned me into superman?

No, and I don’t expect it to. Consuming real food is not a shock-and-awe approach to nutrition. Boku Superfood works on much subtler, core levels of wellness.

Cost

Since the product is direct to consumer, you get a high quality product at a fair price. By joining the auto-ship program, you get the best pricing and if you don’t want to continue ordering the product you can simply contact them and they will discontinue the auto-ship program – no questions asked.

If organic food-based supplements are of interest to you, Boku Superfood is definitely worth checking out.
