National Trail Running Day – August 22

Palo-duro-trail-runningBack in June we had National Running Day for the road runners but trail runners must have felt left out of the party so a National Trail Running Day has been created to celebrate and introduce people to the joys of trail running. Dirt day is Saturday August 22.

Trail running is a unique experience in the running world. Once you try it, you will often be back.

Whether anything is actually being promoted in your area, it is a good excuse to head out and explore the trails.

NTTR has a sure to be fun club night run planned but I will have to miss out as I will be bunkered down getting as many Zs as I can before the 1/2 marathon on Sunday.

Are there any organized National Trail Running events planned in your area?

Be active – Feel the buzz!

ps – I have created an Facebook page. Feel free to share some of your trail running and ultramarathon experiences on the Wall. Check it out and become a fan of the site.  🙂
