Schedule Change

meNo 100 miler this year!

Last week I came to the realization that my life schedule is just too full to run a 100 or even a 50 miler this year. This was a fairly hard thing for me to realize but once I did, it was an easy decision. I am typically not one to back off from a endurance sports challenge so having this possibility even come into my awareness, I am grateful.

This year is going to be a life-redirection year that will require significant mental energies for some schooling so I must back off on the physical side a bit. I am happy that it only took one month of the year to figure out.

I still plan to remain extremely healthy and run five days per week and sneak in a couple local trail races along with the local running club events but the 50 miler-plus distances will be out of the question.

My schedule will now include a 26 mile trail event in March and a 50k trail event in November. The 50 and 100 mile events are gone!

Life is a journey.
