2008 Boston Marathon Prep - 4 Weeks Out - Key Workout #1

Here is the first completed key workout of the week. It was a nine mile run with 30 minutes of tempo work inserted in the middle.

Key Workout 3/25

I was a bit concerned how the body would respond to the effort. Last week the tempo work was very tough mentally but today I seemed to make a giant leap on the mental side of things. The mind now seems to be familiar with this kind of effort and did not rebel like it did last week. I was pleasantly surprised.

I also was able to handle the pace which was 12 secs faster per minute mile from last weeks effort.

Overall, it was a good run. Just trying to keep it rolling!
