2008 Boston Marathon Race Numbers

…are now posted! You can look up your number here.

I am lucky number 5477.

In this event the number actually represents which corral you are penned up in for the start. Since I am a 5xxx number I will be in corral 5. The same will hold true for the rest of the bib numbers. Simple enough.

Why do we get excited about knowing our race number? Ironman events have a similar type of excitement. People post there numbers all over the message boards. Maybe it is a signal that the race is near and all of the hard work is about to end with a huge weekend of celebration and maybe even a beer or two. Who wouldn’t like a party with a large number of your endurance friends.

Save one or two Blue Moons for me please!

Feel the BuzZ!
