Recovery Week Over

Since this week was a pretty serious recovery week, the training was rather “vanilla”. After three solid weeks of training and racing that is exactly what I needed.
Mentally - I am feeling pretty fresh and ready to start gradually turning the screws a bit.
Physically - The body feels mostly recovered from the previous races but I did notice a little tender spot towards the back of my left heel. It doesn’t affect anything when I walk or run but it is a bit stiff when I wake up in the morning and roll out of bed. I will just have to monitor.
Let the Boston build begin, now only if I had a training schedule prepared. Oops! I intent to knock it out tomorrow. I will probably put a pretty good focus on Tempo work for the next 2-3 weeks with a bit of speed work. It should be fun!
The Weekly Low-Down:
run: 25 miles (4 sessions: 4, 5, 8, 8 ) All easy/recovery effort.
bike: 45 mins
weights/core: none
* I also did a 30 min elliptical session.
