Three Races in Three Weeks

This weekend I had just completed my third race in three weeks and it put a nice exclamation point to the end of this little training block. The race was a great 50k trail run down in Waco Texas. I will provide a full race report tomorrow evening but I will say it was a special day to be out on the trail.
The first half of the week consisted of a couple solid run days that included hill work and some mile repeats. I didn’t want to be too worn out for Saturday’s race so I pretty much stopped running after Wednesday but did include some cycling.
The Weekly Low-Down:
run: 46 miles (4 sessions: 5, 9, 1, 31)
bike: 80 mins
weights/core: 1 great Crossfit session.
The week ahead will be a recovery week and then my five week prep for the Boston marathon begins. It is hard to believe Boston is that close already. It is going to be a fun five weeks but first I am going to absorb all of the racing from the last three weeks.
Happy Training!
