It Was a Fun Week

Training this week was a blast! The body is 100% adjusted to training again so I think most of the rust has finally been burnt off. Woohoo!
Work was also exceptionally busy this week which reduced my normal sleep hours and increased my stress levels. I will need to pay extra attention to nutrition and stress management to keep from getting “the funk”.
A key for me going forward will be to throttle my excitement a bit so that I don’t incorporate too much distance/speed work and get myself injured. That being said, I am upping my workouts from 5 to 6 days a week and including a stationary or road bike day to up my fitness in a relatively low risk manner.
The weekly Low-Down:
run: 36 miles (5 sessions)
bike: 55 mins
weights/core: 2 sessions

This coming week is a reduced volume week and will include my first race (Presidents 5k/10k run) of the season! It will be a family affair as long as the weather cooperates. Fingers crossed!
Happy Training!
