If you are interested in purchasing treadmill, you may want to check out Treadmill Doctor.

The site was referred to in a that’sfit article which provides a good little summary of Treadmill Doctor’s website. I checked out TD’s 2008 Treadmill Best Buy Awards and noticed the rating criteria is based off of walking area, power, cushioning, reliability, noise level, quality, value, and warranty. That seems to cover all of the key points.

There also is a little text summary which I would like a bit more in-depth but I guess it is better than nothing. They do cover the spectrum of treadmill prices and include some notes to shed some light whether a particular pricing level will handle your primary activity. (ex: mainly running vs mainly walking) I consider that very helpful.

You may also want to check out Runner’s World as they will also have treadmill reviews. Your wacky training buddies may have some additional opinions.

I always would recommend test driving whatever treadmills you are interested in before buying and don’t forget to buy a nice big fan to keep the body temp down while running.
